How would the Internet of Things have changed Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory? We produced an animation for IBM that answers this question by showing how the IoT can be used to revolutionize manufacturing. From chocolate-river sensors to fraud-proof golden tickets, the video inserts IoT innovations into the classic tale to show how much easier things would’ve been today. The cutout-animation style is inspired by Terry Gilliam’s handcraft work but brings a terrific twist, combining real-life photography with digital animation techniques. The result is a series of quirky animations that match the comical storyline.
