At the 2017 Army–Navy college football game the Navy Midshipmen team came prepared with an augmented reality supporters kit. The kit features five Facebook camera lenses that allow fans to share their love for the Midshipmen through Navy-themed masks and effects. Developed using a beta version of Facebook’s Camera Effects platform, the front-facing lenses let Midshipmen fans join the ranks by becoming a diver or naval aviator. On the backside, fans can use their Facebook camera to turn the entire stadium into 360 Navy base with aircraft carriers, jets and helicopters moving into action.
