Launch Night In is a big, high-visibility event in which Google reveals new products to the press. This year we turned it into a virtual event centered around Google TV, as well as Nest Audio and the new Pixel phones. To build up the tension and excitement, we designed and implemented a press registration, teaser and countdown site, until the big show started. We also created an overview to explore the segmented content at your own pace, inspired by the interface of Google TV itself. Finally, we also researched the technical possibilities of the Google TV device itself. The event was very successful and attracted over 700k+ unique visitors. The tease site was praised for its fun sound design as you can play piano with your keys/screen taps.
